Workshop

Modern GIS with ArcGIS AI

BEUC 2027 | May 14

About the workshop

Artificial Intelligence is becoming an increasingly important part of modern GIS workflows. This workshop will provide ArcGIS users with a practical introduction to the latest AI capabilities available across the ArcGIS platform. Participants will explore three key areas of Geospatial AI:
  • AI tools and models – Learn how deep learning models can be used to automate the extraction of information from imagery and geospatial data. The workshop will include demonstrations of ready-to-use models as well as examples of custom model training for real-world geospatial use cases.
  • AI assistants – Discover how AI-powered assistants can improve productivity across ArcGIS. Through hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to use AI Assistants to create apps, generate code, automate tasks and more using natural language prompts.
  • Agentic AI – Explore emerging AI capabilities that enable natural language interaction with spatial and non-spatial data. The workshop will include practical exercises with ArcGIS Data Explorer and demonstrations of agentic workflows and MCP concepts within the ArcGIS ecosystem.

Technical requirements:

  1. Personal computer with latest version web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox)
  2. External mouse
